On Windows 7 and Windows 8, my Legal Works documents appear truncated when opened

• This bug has been fixed since 2020-08-16, and is availabe via the Live Updater. Customers who have a valid updates subscription will receive this fix automatically.
• If the problem still exists despite installing the updates, please confirm that you have a valid subscription.

On Windows 7 and Windows 8, my Legal Works documents appear truncated when opened.

This problem is usually related to what is known as “graphics adaptor acceleration” settings. Windows usually applies some complex schematics when drawing graphics on the screen in order to make your programs run faster. This seems to cause a problem with Hammurabi in certain configurations.
To solve the problem, modify the properties of the shortcut that you use to start Hammurabi. Open the “Compatibility” tab, and select the option “Disable desktop composition”. Click “OK”, then restart Hammurabi.
